Floor Technician/Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions in assigned areas
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services for routine cleaning in resident living and recreational areas
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and room heating/cooling units daily
• Clean and service all aspects of rooms, baths, offices, and common areas to a "like new" effect
• Clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting, ensuring caution/safety signs are in place
• Dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, window sills, mirrors, and light globes in various areas
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures, removing watermarks and replenishing supplies
• Keep utility storage rooms in order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and vacuuming, sweeping and mopping as needed
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize and disinfect all carpets
• Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, free of hazardous objects

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
• Age 21
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Self-motivation for daily work with moderate supervision
• Excellent communication skills and tact in interactions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
• Related experience is preferred.
