Fulfillment Associate

About This Role

This role involves accurately picking, staging, inspecting, and fulfilling customer orders, ensuring excellent service and maintaining a clean and safe staging area. The associate will operate and maintain certification for powered equipment and support inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time
• Keep staging areas clean, organized, and safe
• Deliver excellent service by choosing high quality items and validating orders
• Answer questions and connect customers with the right associates when needed
• Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment (Forklift, Order Picker, Narrow Aisle Reach Truck)
• Follow all safety requirements
• Support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App and maintaining SIMS compliance
• Partner with leadership to resolve short picks
• Complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management
• Report safety or theft concerns promptly

Requirements

• 6 Months of Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• 6 Months of Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Powered Equipment Certification: Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck (Required; must be obtained if not already certified)

Qualifications

• 6 Months of Experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information; 6 Months of Experience using common retail technology; 6 Months of Retail experience preferred; 6 Months of customer service or product fulfillment experience in home improvement/hardware retail preferred; 6 Months of experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product preferred.

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 Months of Retail experience
• 6 Months of Experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden)
• 6 Months of Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles
