Operate a variety of material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse, ensuring safe practices, maintaining a clean environment, and accurately managing inventory using an RF scanner and WMS system.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment (VNA, deep reach, stand-up, sit down, EPJ forklifts, slip sheet machines, order pickers and rider-walkies)
- Inspect MHE for wear or damage and complete preoperational checklists
- Communicate maintenance or repair issues for building, vehicles, and equipment to supervision
- Exhibit safe behaviors and practices, including wearing PPE and following safe material handling and lifting practices
- Follow good housekeeping and GMP to maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Use an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements
- Perform replenishment, put-away, and bulk pick functions using the WMS system
- Ensure proper unloading of trailers, transporting, and put-away of inbound product
- Receive and transport raw materials and packaging components for CoPack operations
Requirements
- Ability to operate all equipment associated with a warehousing environment (material handling equipment, RF scanner)
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights of up to 40 ft.
- Ability to work in cold storage (40°F)
- Ability to frequently lift 35 to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must meet DOT sight and hearing requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to work daily and weekend overtime
- Ability to work independently while meeting safety, quality and productivity standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred
