Food Service Rep

About This Role

As a Food Service Representative, you will provide superior customer service and maintain a well-stocked, well-maintained department. This role involves preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products daily, while adhering to all department and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by taking orders and assisting with product selections
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products effectively
• Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for poor quality
• Clean and sanitize display cases, and operate/maintain equipment properly
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards and operating procedures
• Record production and shrink for planning (Bakery)
• Assist in technical areas like baking, frying, and decorating (Bakery)
• Take care of service counter customers and use ordering system applications (Deli)
• Perform inventory management processes and ensure catering orders are ready (Deli)
• Serve/package products, educate customers on preparation, and prepackage condiments (Prepared Foods)

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Completion of Company Orientation and food safety/sanitation training upon hire

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent
