Food Service Rep

About This Role

As a Food Service Representative, you will maintain a well-stocked and clean department, preparing and packaging fresh products daily. This role focuses on providing superior customer service and adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by taking orders and answering questions regarding products
• Prepare, package, label, rotate, and merchandise fresh products effectively
• Assist in technical areas such as baking, frying, decorating, and clean-up processes
• Use suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Clean and sanitize display cases, and properly operate and maintain equipment
• Comply with H-E-B food safety, sanitation standards, and department/Store operating procedures
• Record production and shrink to aid in production planning for bakery items
• Manage inventory processes and ensure catering orders are prepared on time for Deli
• Serve and package products at customer's request, educating them on preparation/reheating instructions for prepared foods

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (PC, symbol, scales, label machine)
