Food Service Rep

About This Role

Provide superior customer service and ensure a well-stocked, well-maintained department by preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products daily, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
• Maintain all department and food safety / sanitation standards
• Operate and maintain equipment properly
• Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
• Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Clean and sanitize display cases
• Perform inventory management processes as required
• Ensure catering orders are prepared and ready in time for Customer pickup (if applicable)

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Company Orientation and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, symbol, scales, label machine)
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
