Food Production Cook

About This Role

As a Food Production Cook, you will prep ingredients for the kitchen, complete tasks at your assigned work station, and maintain department and food safety / sanitation standards while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Cut, slice, dice, chop food for recipe preparation in accordance with recipe specifications and SOPs
• Prepackage condiments (sauces, dressings) for prepared food items
• Complete tasks at assigned work station
• Assist in multiple cooking venues as needed
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
• Properly handle and maintain temperature integrity of all ingredients, product, and equipment operation
• Maintain sanitation in food preparation areas
• Properly handle, operate, and maintain equipment
• Provide internal customer service and assist guests as needed

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Ability to execute high-volume production
• Ability to keep open availability for rotating shifts including frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)

• Culinary certification, or equivalent culinary training / work experience
• Experience in food preparation and equipment
