Fitness Center Associate

About This Role

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to members and guests of the fitness center while upholding company policies. The position involves front desk duties, cash handling, program information, and supervising children in various activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned duties while providing excellent customer service by welcoming and interacting with members/guests
• Proactively solve problems and address member concerns
• Remain knowledgeable and provide information on all programs and services including Membership, Kidsports, Childcare, Gymnastics, Group fitness training and Aquatics
• Enforce all fitness center policies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform tasks such as cash handling and bookings
• Monitor and supervise children in scheduled areas of the facility

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age and enrolled in High School
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Skills to multi-task and be self-motivated

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age and enrolled in High School
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 1 year of customer service experience
