Firmware & System Test Automation Engineer IV

About This Role

Build and automate end-to-end testing solutions for firmware development and system validation processes, designing reusable Python and Bash libraries to streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end automation solutions for firmware development and system validation processes
• Design reusable Python and Bash libraries and command-line interfaces to streamline testing workflows
• Integrate tools such as Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Gerrit, Jira, and test management systems to enhance automation pipelines
• Orchestrate nightly regression tests, implement auto-failure classification, and develop dashboards for monitoring results
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and ASIC teams to document standards, best practices, and ensure compliance with data and IP security protocols

Requirements

• 10+ years of automation experience in firmware and system validation environments
• Expertise in Python, Linux, kernel modules, Bash scripting
• Working knowledge of C/C++ for firmware integration
• Experience with PyTest, Robot Framework, and hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including artifacts management, secrets handling, and flaky test management
• Strong understanding of PCIe/NVMe, DMA, interrupts, RTOS
• Experience with logic and protocol analyzers for hardware debugging

Qualifications

• 10+ years of automation experience in firmware and system validation environments
