Sensor Systems Test Engineer

About This Role

Join a dynamic team as a Test Engineer in the Sensor Systems Verification and Validation department, supporting cutting-edge projects in vehicle sensor systems. You will contribute to the verification and validation activities for next-generation vehicle platforms and hardware updates, specializing in camera, lidar, or radar.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sensor systems (lidar, camera, radar) verification and validation activities for next-generation vehicle platforms and hardware updates
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and hardware specialists to develop, standardize, and optimize V&V methodologies for scalable sensor system deployment
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans to verify sensing system requirements and validate overall system performance
• Set up test environments, analyze test data, and communicate findings through technical reports and executive updates
• Develop reusable sensor data analysis and test automation software using Python and/or C++ to streamline testing processes

Requirements

• Degree in engineering
• 6+ years of experience in sensor systems development and testing
• Familiarity with at least one sensor modality: camera, lidar, or radar
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and testing in a laboratory or field environment
• Proficiency in analyzing data using high-level programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or C++
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering
• At least 6 years of experience in sensor systems development and testing.
