Implement and manage firewall and network sensing solutions to protect client networks from cyber threats. Deploy, configure, and manage these solutions to maintain optimal performance and security across client environments. Monitor network traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents to mitigate risks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls
- Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts
- Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements
- Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance the organization's security posture
- Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations and network security best practices
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response processes
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in network security operations with a focus on firewall management
- Strong experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices
- Experience with technologies such as Checkpoint and Tufin
- Experience with security monitoring tools such as Splunk and familiarity with network visibility solutions like Netography
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in network security operations, with a focus on firewall management
