Financial Services Consultant

About This Role

As a Financial Services Consultant, you will advise clients on financial planning, offering solutions across life insurance, investments, and long-term care insurance. You will build your own client base while being supported by New York Life, a Fortune 100 company.

Responsibilities

• Understand the needs and financial concerns of clients and provide solutions
• Sell life insurance and long-term care insurance
• Educate clients on how to plan for their future financially in the event of unfortunate life circumstances
• Network and build a personal book of business through establishing professional networks and prospecting for new clients
• Cultivate quality relationships with clients to establish opportunities to help their family members pursue financial security

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Life, Accident, and Health license required or willingness to obtain within a reasonable time

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in sales, customer service, or consulting (preferred)

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of sales experience in sales, customer service, or consulting
• Series 7, 66, or 63 license
• A desire for an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion to help others
• Strong knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
• Strong interpersonal management skills
• Self-starter, capable of working individually as well as in a team environment
• Enjoy engaging in community and networking
