This role involves diagnosing, testing, and repairing heavy construction equipment, providing professional customer service, and ensuring timely completion of work orders and warranty claims.
Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times, adhering to VCES applications safety policies and company procedures
- Diagnose, test, and repair heavy equipment and related machinery
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for Volvo product lines and systems
- Complete and submit work orders and warranty claims with detailed descriptions
- Provide professional customer service regarding equipment problems and solutions
- Confirm equipment function after repair
- Provide telephone support to customers for troubleshooting
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain all necessary tools for performing work
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction related equipment
- Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft products
- Valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Ability to work safely
- Knowledge and proficiency in diagnosing, testing and repairing heavy equipment
- Comprehensive understanding and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics on Volvo product lines
- Ability to timely complete and submit work orders and warranty claims
- Ability to provide professional customer service
- Ability to provide telephone support for troubleshooting
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasionally stay overnight
- Must have all tools necessary to perform required work
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction related equipment
