Field Service Technician II

About This Role

This role is responsible for inspecting and monitoring exposed piping for corrosion and leaks, performing pipeline operations (hot taps, line stops, valve installations), and managing customer reporting for atmospheric corrosion monitoring projects. The Service Technician will work to improve and maintain superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and Monitor Exposed Piping for Evidence of Atmospheric Corrosion, leaks, and other repair requirements
• Perform hot taps on active pipelines and manage shut-down operations
• Perform line stops for temporary isolations on pressurized pipelines
• Install permanent valves into active pipelines
• Perform other pipeline taps, lines services, and vault operations
• Visually and physically examine above-ground facilities for atmospheric corrosion (uniform and localized)
• Manage customer reporting requirements for atmospheric corrosion monitoring projects
• Comply with all departmental contractor/employee training programs to meet company customer and regulatory requirements including On the Job (OJT) and Operator Qualification training
• Maintain any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications
• Comply with company/customer DOT drug & alcohol and environment/safety programs and requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience working with gas utilities or related field
• Experience with Operator Qualification training and certification
