About This Role

Join Tektronix as a Calibration Technician to provide world-class calibration and repair services for test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. This role involves performing routine to complex calibrations and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve customer satisfaction through timely completion of calibration services as per agreements and targets
  • Accurately enter data into tracking database
  • Perform final inspection of work completed by other technicians (occasionally)
  • Create calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Complete all documentation supporting customer requirements, reporting, ISO, and other quality systems
  • Interact with customers for scheduling calibration, repair, or limited calibration
  • Apply acquired job skills and company policies to complete assigned tasks
  • Perform moderate to high complexity calibrations, including PD, GP, and RF measurement areas
  • Create uncertainty budgets and datasheets
  • Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Perform work at customer locations as well as in service centers
  • Function frequently as the primary representative of Tektronix to the customer
  • Adhere to quality management system policies and procedures
  • Implement FBS (Daily Scheduling Improvements, Visual Management Improvements, Kaizen Charters, Kaizen Participation, Intermediate problem solving)
  • Plan, oversee, organize, participate, and/or lead onsite events independently

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on semi-routine assignments and recognize the need for alternate calibration methods
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications (emphasis on Excel)
  • Ability to travel as needed for training and customer calibration support
  • Meet requirements to drive a company vehicle
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of related experience

Nice to Have

  • College degree or continued education
  • Military Metrology/Calibration (PMEL or TMDE) training
  • 2-year Technical certification
  • Experience in equipment calibration across General Purpose Electronics, Physical/Mechanical, Dimensional, and RF disciplines
