Field Service Technician

About This Role

This entry-level Field Service Technician position assists with the operation and maintenance of compressor packages and equipment. The role involves basic troubleshooting, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring high mechanical availability of units.

Responsibilities

• Perform job activities consistent with company procedures and goals
• Troubleshoot basic issues and continuously build troubleshooting skills
• Attend and participate in all HSE meetings and ensure adherence to protocols
• Analyze job parts and supply inventory to communicate needs with Supply Chain
• Maintain customer relationships
• Take corrective actions to ensure 98% or better mechanical availability of equipment
• Maintain assigned units in a clean and presentable condition
• Complete required reports and actions as per operating procedures
• Provide 24/7 coverage and be available for on-call rotations
• Work overtime, including after regular hours, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-year compression process, production, and equipment related experience and/or training
• Electrical Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Valid Driver’s License, with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within acceptable company policy parameters
• Basic knowledge of compressor packages, components, and systems
• Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of compression process, production, and equipment related experience and/or training

Nice to Have

• OEM, Trade School or comparable work experience in a related field/industry
• Some knowledge in gas processes, mechanic of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
