Field Service Technician

About This Role

Install, commission, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) at customer sites. Perform troubleshooting, software management, and calibration to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission BAS systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and fully functional
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues with BAS components to minimize downtime and ensure reliability
• Download, update, and verify the accuracy of software used in BAS systems
• Calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
• Monitor BAS components for performance, efficiency, and safety; perform diagnostics and necessary repairs as required
• Maintain compliance with all company-required trainings and safety protocols

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in BAS controls, HVAC controls, controls commissioning, or PLC programming
• Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, and computer networking
• Previous experience working in BAS or related technical fields
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills

Qualifications

• Technical school graduate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is highly desirable
• 3-6 years of experience in applicable fields such as BAS controls, HVAC controls, controls commissioning, or PLC programming
