Supervise Field Technicians in environmental emergency response operations, including hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and equipment decontamination. Ensure compliance with safety standards and manage project execution within budget and timeline.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety by following policies and processes
- Train and mentor Field Service Technicians
- Execute projects/jobs within budget and on time
- Enforce and ensure OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations are compliant
- Communicate manpower, equipment, and resources required for projects with Coordinator
- Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools
- Wear and properly use a variety of personal protective Equipment (PPE)
- Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors, and in atmospheres with potential chemical exposure
- Assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters
- Complete associated paperwork, such as worksheets, vehicle and equipment inspections
- Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely
Requirements
- Previous experience in a physically intensive role
- Previous experience in a supervisory, crew lead or leadership role
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time, overnight
- Ability to be on-call for emergency response
- Valid Driver’s license
- Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements
- Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical
- Ability to meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically intensive and supervisory/leadership role.
Nice to Have
- Previous heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc)
- Previous environmental and/or industrial experience (e.g., site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery-based work)
- Commercial driver license
