Facilities Planner/Designer

About This Role

Plan, design, and manage interior space utilization projects for a large-scale corporation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and future operational needs. Coordinate layouts, furniture, and equipment while collaborating with internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, layout, and utilize interior space management projects, considering future operational expectations
• Maintain inventories of facility space and furnishings for evaluation and control, and establish space and furniture standards
• Assist in establishing aesthetic design criteria for new and renovated buildings
• Prepare plans for allocation and utilization of space
• Design, develop, and coordinate layouts to meet building occupants' operational requirements
• Arrange for changes in floor space to accommodate new furniture, equipment, accessories, and required facilities (telephone, computers, special electrical requirements)
• Develop concepts and supervise the design and fabrication of new equipment, furniture, and furnishings
• Collaborate with manufacturers for custom-made equipment and arrange cost estimates for equipment, furniture, furnishings, and building decor
• Monitor and ensure compliance with established organizational standards
• Prepare layout of space to meet system's needs and select furniture and furnishings for offices with compatible color selections
• Assemble and manage internal or external project teams to meet project goals and objectives
• Prepare required plans and specifications for bidding documents
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of surveys and forecasting for corporate long-range and master space planning needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Facility Management or Interior Design
• 3-5 years of architectural/facilities planning experience
• Proficient in CADD Micro Station system
• Strong PC skills
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant curriculum; Architecture, Facility Management or Interior Design
• Three to five years of architectural/facilities planning experience under direct supervision or at a large scale corporation environment
