Facilities Carpenter

About This Role

As a Facilities Carpenter at Mandalay Bay, you will maintain the quality and functionality of the hotel's spaces by performing preventive maintenance and responsive repairs. Your work will involve restoring damaged furniture, building custom cabinetry, and ensuring the overall integrity of the facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repairs on furniture, cabinetry, guest rooms, public areas, and offices.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install permanent structures such as cabinetry, office partitions, doors, counters, cornices, and related components.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery, to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.
• Read and work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine dimensions and finished specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness, follow safety and accident-prevention practices, and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in a similar environment
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
