Fabrication Operator

About This Role

Perform all necessary functions to fabricate electrical and electronic enclosures, contributing to a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn, teach, and interact with all functions supporting the fabrication team, unit, and company objectives
• Actively participate as a team member through continuous improvement activities
• Comply with all applicable safety procedures and report hazards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Notify leaders of problems concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation
• Perform set-up duties in accordance with production documentation (SOP / MOPs)
• Position production materials and tooling, maintaining dimensions to print specifications
• Operate in accordance with production documentation
• Select and move production materials
• Maintain production equipment and materials
• Meet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met
• Ensure products and systems meet nVent's quality specifications
• Perform transactions to maintain accurate records and inventory balance via computer
• Perform rotational assignments including grinding, forming (press brake), welding, and spotwelding

Requirements

• Min. 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience
• Knowledge in manufacturing practices
• Knowledge in metal fabrication
• Skill to utilize various welding equipment, resistance spot welders, Tig spot guns, stud welding equipment
• Skill to utilize press brake, NC controller
• Skill to utilize material handling equipment: pallet jack, lift tables, wheeled carts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Min. 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience
