This EOIR Immigration Attorney role involves serving as counsel in removal defense matters for a mission-driven plaintiffs-side firm. The position focuses on providing comprehensive representation in immigration court while managing a high-volume caseload.
Responsibilities
- Serve as counsel in removal defense and EOIR matters
- Sign and file petitions, motions, and pleadings
- Manage a high-volume caseload with strong organization and judgment
- Appear at EOIR hearings and advocate in court
- Handle substantive work across various proceedings, including asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and adjustment of status
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active U.S. state bar license (in good standing)
- Existing EOIR ECAS registration
- Strong legal writing, analysis, and courtroom advocacy
- Comfort handling a high-volume docket and appearing in EOIR
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of immigration court experience
- English/Spanish bilingual
- Experience with asylum/cancellation/waivers/AOS
- Trauma-informed client practice
