Environmental Services Attendant

About This Role

This role involves performing cleaning duties and other tasks for the Environmental Services Department, ensuring a clean and safe environment by adhering to established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cleaning functions following established procedures in a timely fashion
• Uses properly labeled cleaning supplies for each job as instructed
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, and use supplies economically
• Clean beds, blinds, ceilings, light fixtures, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, walls, windows, wall tiles, ceiling and wall vents, televisions, etc. following established procedures
• Wash and hang draperies and cubicle curtains; wash and polish furniture and metal
• Sweep walkways and outside perimeter of facility, and sweep, mop, strip, scrub, vacuum, and buff floors
• Replenish liquid soap, paper towels and toilet tissue
• Move furniture from one area in facility to another; distribute clean linen carts; pick up soiled linen and deliver to linen department
• Collect garbage, clean and re-line trash receptacles with plastic liners; transport garbage to designated area and dispose of non-infectious waste appropriately
• Deposit red bags-infectious waste, in holding cart in cautious manner; transport red-bag garbage to Sani-Pak area and insert into Sani-Pak; operate Sani-Pak receptacle
• Move all furniture and replace same after carpet installations, in preparation for floor maintenance or department relocation
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, lecture podiums, etc. according to specifications; remove trash before setting up next function/meeting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 Years Of Relevant Experience, Preferred.
