Engineering Technician I

About This Role

Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials under close supervision. Communicate findings to the project manager and maintain equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel)
• Communicate with project manager, client representative, and contractor's representative regarding project requirements and results
• Transport material samples with identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in written and digital reports for daily transmittal
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites
• Adhere to strict safety standards and perform pre-task planning
• Maintain quality standards on all projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience required

Nice to Have

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire
