Engineer Test Operations

About This Role

Serve as an Engineer in Test Operations, gathering and manipulating technical data, producing engineering documentation, and performing detailed mathematical calculations for naval ship design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Perform preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency
• Perform quantitative judgments concerning technical data
• Use personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports
• May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• US Citizenship

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 2 years of relevant professional/exempt experience with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master of Science Degree in Engineering
