Electromechanical Engineer

About This Role

This role involves applying electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems within ship survivability, specifically focusing on platform acoustics. The engineer will support the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems for naval ships.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems
• Perform assembly, analysis, and documentation of results for components and systems
• Construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components
• Conduct quality testing
• Support and participate in the design of prototype electromechanical systems
• Support and participate in the test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems
• Analyze acoustic engineering issues in ship designs
• Perform engineering acoustic analyses with documented rigor

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's or 2 years with a Bachelor's
