About This Role

Deliver innovative consumer products, specifically kitchen sinks and related accessories, by leading New Product Design projects and supporting complex initiatives within a cross-functional team. Interweave engineering activities with broader deliverables, focusing on idea generation and risk mitigation for systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Individually own New Product Design projects and Current Product Design modifications of moderate complexity, including kitchen sinks, wire form accessories, injection molded parts, and assemblies of sink components
  • Support more complex projects with partner engineers
  • Develop product design within specifications for structural/functional requirements, installations, regulatory considerations, platforming, and marketing/sales worldwide
  • Assure functional acceptability through testing and analysis
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and documentation needed to define product design and function
  • Utilize engineering tools to guide design and risk-mitigation activities
  • Apply Design-For-Manufacturing techniques towards sink and accessory designs
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time within NPD timelines
  • Assist in the preparation of product cost information
  • Disseminate technical data to other group functions for business decision making
  • Complete parametric CAD models to guide design, risk assessment, and risk-mitigation of new products

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 3+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (PTC Creo Preferred)
  • Ability to work Independently and with cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed with creative problem-solving ability
  • Ability to independently test, analyze and solve technical problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Understanding of manufacturing constraints for injection molding, casting, forging, stamping, welding, machining, fabricating, plating

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience

  • Strong interest in CAD design and advanced prototyping
