Employee Communications Strategist

About This Role

The Employee Communications Strategist develops and publishes engaging content to tell the stories of our 8,000+ employee-owners. This role creates connection and engagement, enabling employees to do their best work by sharing best practices and recognizing outstanding team efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop people-focused content to create a shared understanding of the company’s purpose, values, vision, and strategic priorities
• Prepare content for various communications channels, including intranet and mobile app communications, email newsletters, printed publications, videos, announcements, etc.
• Organize information for videos, illustrations, charts, and graphics and work with the creative team to build content
• Write, edit, and proofread communications for various audiences
• Communicate and provide recommendations regarding progress, needs, and updates to team leadership
• Build relationships with employees to source compelling stories that demonstrate the company’s purpose
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities under short timeframes with attention to detail and follow-through with all stakeholders
• Understand all aspects of the employee journey and create appropriate communications for each touchpoint
• Maintain quality standards and practices on all projects
• Ensure that Terracon’s brand standards are followed in all communications materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field and a minimum of three years’ related experience, OR a minimum of 7 years’ experience in lieu of a degree
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field
• 3+ years related experience, or 7+ years in lieu of a degree

Nice to Have

• Experience with internal communications platforms
• Experience with design software
• Experience with video development
