About This Role

This role involves teaching elementary school students (K-5) for the 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on fostering an improved learning experience through creativity and rigor. The teacher will build a caring environment and ensure scholars master academic and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all scholars master both academic and social skills necessary to succeed
• Set ambitious goals for student achievement and hold scholars accountable
• Create a powerful learning environment
• Plan and deliver rigorous instruction
• Assess for mastery, tracking scholar progress
• Intervene and/or pivot as necessary to support scholars’ success
• Ensure 100% of scholars meet projected growth goals for ELA and Math
• Achieve 85% scholar satisfaction on classroom surveys
• Maintain 90% scholar persistence through the academic year
• Ensure 95% average daily scholar attendance
• Facilitate 1.5 years of growth for each scholar not performing on grade level

Requirements

• Passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Valid State Teacher License or enrolled in a credentialing program
• Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
• Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
