Summer School - Elementary Teacher

About This Role

Teach elementary school students in a summer school program to contribute to their development as mature, responsible adults. Maintain a suitable learning environment and ensure student safety and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Reach District standards in designated curricular areas for all pupils directly responsible to the teacher
• Perform co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and/or other designated persons
• Maintain proper disciplinary control of directly assigned pupils and all pupils within the district
• Enforce all rules governing pupil conduct as prescribed by the Education Code, Title 5, The Governing Board, and District/school administrators
• Provide a suitable learning environment for the academic and social development of all students
• Adhere to the concept that the safety and welfare of students is paramount at all times

Requirements

• Possess or be eligible for appropriate California classroom credential
