About This Role

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain integrated electronic industrial control systems by diagnosing and isolating system failures. Provide technical input on equipment procurement and modifications, troubleshooting with facilities management trades, and adapting to new and unusual circuitry with limited information.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain integrated systems.
  • Provide input to Industrial Plant Maintenance and production personnel as to equipment procurement and/or modifications to existing equipment.
  • Serve as a senior team member with production and other Facilities Management trades to troubleshoot and differentiate between mechanical, electrical and electronic problems.
  • Serve as an electronic expert in the installation, maintenance and operation of new equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical control circuits on motor starters to determine operational working condition.
  • Interpret operating procedures to maintain, and repair fixed and semi-fixed machinery.
  • Adapt troubleshooting and repair techniques to newly installed or modified systems incorporating unusual circuitry with limited or no technical information.
  • Receive electronic work assignments and diagnose and isolate the nature and extent of system failures.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and repairs to state-of-the-art industrial electronically controlled multi-integrated systems and equipment.
  • Advise engineering and facilities personnel on proposed system upgrades and modifications, identifying required parts and completing paperwork.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain integrated electronic industrial control systems.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical control circuits on motor starters.
  • Ability to interpret operating procedures for machinery maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to adapt troubleshooting techniques to new or modified systems with unusual circuitry and limited technical information.
  • Ability to perform planned and unplanned maintenance on state-of-the-art industrial electronically controlled multi-integrated systems and equipment.
  • Ability to advise engineering and facilities personnel on system upgrades and modifications.

Qualifications

  • Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
