Provide quality care to patients by performing transthoracic echocardiograms and assisting with transesophageal and stress echocardiograms. This role requires proficient technical skills and participation in quality improvement initiatives within the Echocardiology department.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care to patients
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms proficiently on inpatients and outpatients
- Assist physicians with technical aspect of transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
- Complete patient worksheets and process reports according to department guidelines
- Participate in the development of the Echocardiology department by active participation in quality improvement
Requirements
- Degree from a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program or CAAHEP-accredited program
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)
- National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Qualifications
- A degree from a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program or a program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
Nice to Have
- 1 year experience performing adult echocardiography
- Experience with transesophageal and stress echocardiography
