About This Role

Lead and support strategic planning, projects, and initiatives for trauma operations at a division level. Ensure regulatory compliance, continuous survey readiness, and oversee trauma center certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic planning and support division-level projects and initiatives
  • Ensure each North Texas Division trauma center is in a state of continuous survey readiness
  • Serve as an HCA Trauma Surveyor team member on all surveys related to the trauma readiness model
  • Provide oversight of the compliance related certifications of each facility
  • Participate in Clinical Service Group (CSG) committees, enterprise-wide committees, and division committee work group(s)
  • Review trauma registry cases for trauma center survey-readiness for accuracy, timelines, and performance improvement
  • Orient new trauma program staff to the trauma performance improvement module and related platforms
  • Collaborate with facility trauma program leadership to ensure local, State, and National regulatory compliance reports are submitted timely
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide guidance on trauma registry inclusion criteria and data collection
  • Monitor the status of each trauma registry within the North Texas Division ensuring timely submissions and data validity
  • Create, run, and analyze division-wide reports for operational and quality reporting to leadership
  • Analyze and aggregate Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) benchmark reports to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist trauma centers with creating data sets for single or multi-site research activities
  • Review data on each trauma center’s pre-review questionnaire (PRQ) prior to submission
  • Ensure the quality of hospital trauma data through various means of validation
  • Assist with monitoring performance improvement and patient safety program
  • Serve as a resource for performance improvement to ensure accurate reporting of hospital events
  • Collaborate with division clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and coding to ensure accurate reporting of quality measures
  • Assist with revenue integrity to monitor the accuracy of trauma charging across the division
  • Assist with business planning and strategic growth planning of the trauma service line

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Healthcare related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trauma Program
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trauma Registry
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Management
  • Registered professional nurse license in Texas or compact license
  • Completion of Trauma Operations Performance Improvement Course within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Trauma Program, Trauma Registry, and Management required; Trauma, Informatics, and Public Health experience preferred.

  • Master's degree Healthcare related field
  • Trauma, Informatics, and Public Health experience
  • Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) certification within 3 years of hire
