District Manager

About This Role

Oversee the operations of up to six ALDI stores, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service, achieving operational excellence, and driving sales growth. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities and direct management of store staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess, establish, and implement appropriate store staffing levels with input from direct reports
• Develop and implement action plans with direct reports to improve operating results
• Ensure adherence to company merchandising plans
• Plan and conduct regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports
• Assure the training, development, and performance of the team's staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce
• Recruit and recommend qualified employees for team staff positions
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team
• Review and analyze competitive pricing within the district and keep leadership informed of ALDI’s competitive pricing position
• Ensure that store personnel comply with the company’s customer satisfaction guidelines
• Oversee and manage the appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns by store management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a group
• Ability to facilitate group involvement when conducting meetings
• Strong negotiation skills
• Conflict management skills
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of human resource management
