Dishwasher

About This Role

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares, ensuring proper sanitation, and supporting kitchen operations to provide an AUS-SOME dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
• Practicing food safety and sanitation
• Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
• General cleaning of the restaurant
• Understanding and operating the dish machine and its chemical components
• Changing out water and chemicals as needed for the dish machine
• Keeping kitchen floors clean and dry
• Maintaining cleanliness of plates and smallwares
• Inspecting food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas for health and safety adherence
• Correcting unsafe practices or conditions and notifying management

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
• Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision
• Ability to adjust focus
• Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments

Qualifications

• 1+ year Back of House (BOH) experience in full-service restaurant preferred
