The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares, ensuring proper sanitation, and supporting kitchen operations to provide an AUS-SOME dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
- Practicing food safety and sanitation
- Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
- General cleaning of the restaurant
- Understanding and operating the dish machine and its chemical components
- Changing out water and chemicals as needed for the dish machine
- Keeping kitchen floors clean and dry
- Maintaining cleanliness of plates and smallwares
- Inspecting food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas for health and safety adherence
- Correcting unsafe practices or conditions and notifying management
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
- Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision
- Ability to adjust focus
- Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
Qualifications
- 1+ year Back of House (BOH) experience in full-service restaurant preferred
