Dishwasher

About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an AUS-SOME dining experience for Guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
• Practicing food safety and sanitation
• Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
• General cleaning of the restaurant
• Pacing and executing dish duties effectively
• Understanding and operating the dish machine and its chemical components
• Changing out water and chemicals for the dish machine as needed
• Keeping floors clean and dry
• Keeping plates and smallwares clean
• Maintaining and inspecting food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to
• Correcting unsafe practices or conditions and notifying management

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision; ability to adjust focus
• Regular use of hands to finger handles or feels objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Able to work in hot and cold environments
• Team player
• Available to work a variety of opens, swings, and closes

Qualifications

• 1+ year Back of House (BOH) experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

Nice to Have

• 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant
• Bilingual English/Spanish
