About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contributing to an AUS-SOME dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
  • Practice food safety and sanitation
  • Restock kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
  • Perform general cleaning of the restaurant
  • Ensure pace and organization of dish execution
  • Maintain full knowledge of dish machine operation and chemical components
  • Understand procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed
  • Keep floors clean and dry
  • Keep plates and smallwares clean
  • Inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas for health and safety adherence
  • Correct unsafe practices or conditions and notify management

Requirements

  • 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant (preferred, but treated as must-have for entry-level)
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Availability to work a variety of opens, swings, and closes

Qualifications

  • 1+ year Back of House experience in a full-service restaurant
