This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contributing to an AUS-SOME dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
- Practice food safety and sanitation
- Restock kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
- Perform general cleaning of the restaurant
- Ensure pace and organization of dish execution
- Maintain full knowledge of dish machine operation and chemical components
- Understand procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed
- Keep floors clean and dry
- Keep plates and smallwares clean
- Inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas for health and safety adherence
- Correct unsafe practices or conditions and notify management
Requirements
- 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant (preferred, but treated as must-have for entry-level)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Availability to work a variety of opens, swings, and closes
Qualifications
- 1+ year Back of House experience in a full-service restaurant
