About This Role

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at Flanigan's, ensuring all plateware, glassware, and kitchen utensils are spotless. This position is essential for upholding the restaurant's commitment to a clean and inviting environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop
• Ability to immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Ability to work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Ability to work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Ability to work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
