Dishwasher

About This Role

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition at the University of Montevallo Cafe. Ensures complete cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or using a dishwashing machine
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures
• Polish silver using appropriate equipment and procedures
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as per provided standards
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure safety and sanitation
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
• Remove trash and place in designated containers, then clean garbage cans
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
• Help load and unload supplies and product

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
