Director, Project Management

About This Role

Lead cross-functional, multi-project programs for clients, delivering strategic, BI, data, engineering, AI, and machine learning solutions on time and within budget. Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers to foster their growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional, multi-project programs for clients
• Ensure strategy, BI, data, engineering, AI, and machine learning solutions are delivered on-time and on-budget
• Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, ensuring their growth and development
• Directly manage complex digital projects or a single program
• Provide delivery oversight over projects to ensure quality, client satisfaction, and financial targets
• Manage 4-5 members of the PMO across varying levels
• Recruit and interview PM candidates, and onboard new hires
• Participate in business development efforts by developing project approaches and estimates
• Collaborate on proposals and SOWs, and present at pitches
• Partner with Delivery Lead peers and Leadership on internal initiatives related to business growth and delivery methodology
• Develop, rollout, facilitate, and govern Delivery processes across the delivery team and PMO

Requirements

• Experience in a professional services environment
• Proven track record delivering large-scale multi-functional software or technology implementation projects
• Experience managing complex technology implementations (Data Strategy, BI, Data Engineering, AI, ML)
• Expertise in Project Management principles, methods and techniques, including Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience working with global delivery teams (nearshore, offshore)
• Experience with resource management & capacity planning
• Experience with project financials, fee structures, and revenue recognition
• Experience managing project margins to meet profitability targets
• People management experience
• Experience developing and implementing Delivery processes
• Experience crafting delivery approaches and estimates, creating proposals, and writing Statements of Work and Change Orders
• Experience presenting project management processes and approaches in pitches
• Ability to see and communicate the big picture across multiple projects
• Strong understanding of the digital project lifecycle
• Excellent leadership, relationship management and influencing skills
• Meticulous verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
