Director of Integrations

About This Role

This Director of Integrations role involves owning, designing, and implementing the client's integration architecture across various enterprise systems, ensuring real-time data flow for critical business operations. The role requires leading a team, establishing API standards, and building a scalable integration platform on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a high-performing integration team, fostering technical excellence while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex integration challenges and architectural decisions
• Partner with business stakeholders and product managers to map end-to-end processes, identifying integration points that unlock operational efficiency and enable new product capabilities
• Implement monitoring and observability frameworks with the Infrastructure Engineering and IT Operations team to proactively identify integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure SLA compliance across all connected systems
• Lead technical discovery and proof-of-concept initiatives for new platforms and tools, evaluating build-vs-buy decisions and recommending integration strategies that balance speed with sustainability
• Accountable for the future integration roadmap, prioritization, and execution—coordinating releases across multiple teams while minimizing business disruption and maintaining system stability

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in system integration and enterprise architecture
• Expertise in API design, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns on the AWS cloud platform
• Deep expertise in modern integration technologies, including event streaming platforms, API-as-a-product strategies, real-time data interoperability, low-code integration pipelines, and AI-driven integration automation
• Experience in wealth management, financial services, or fintech organizations with an understanding of financial data flows, regulatory requirements, and industry-standard platforms
• Proven leadership and exceptional communication skills
• Extensive experience managing technical teams and translating complex integration concepts for both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose integration issues across distributed systems
• Expertise in integration methodologies, monitoring practices, and vendor management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in system integration and enterprise architecture
