Accounting Consultant

About This Role

Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
• Support process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support operational needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in a Staff or Senior Accounting role, or an accounting operations role
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems and ERPs
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in a Staff or Senior Accounting role, or an accounting operations role.
