Director of Community Life/Activities Director

About This Role

Lead the development, organization, and coordination of comprehensive Wellness/Recreation/Activity Services and programs for seniors in an independent, assisted living, and memory care community to enrich their lives and promote well-being.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the development, organization and coordination of facility and community resources to provide comprehensive Wellness/Recreation/Activity Services and programs
• Provide a Community Life program daily including evenings and weekends
• Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies and provide for their accessibility through organized storage
• Attend and participate in orientation, training, in-service education activities and staff meetings as assigned to maintain compliance
• Communicate programs and develop positive relations with tenants, family, and volunteers
• Train and motivate others while acting as a role model and mentor
• Foster Family and Community support through the Community Program (i.e. newsletters, networking, activities)
• Contribute to the community efforts to maintain and/or improve quality of life and quality of care by participating in Care conferences, QAPI, and Department Head Meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional experience in healthcare
• Compassionate towards others
• Passionate about enriching the lives of others
• Ability to train and motivate others
• Desire to make a difference in the lives of tenants

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of professional experience in health care
