About This Role

This Director of Business Development role is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the educational staffing solutions and management services industry across the Northwest Territory (WA, OR, ID). The position involves developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders in the education sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with local, regional, and national Operations teams to secure new business.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential growth areas within the education sector, specifically in portions of Southern California and Arizona.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and formal presentations for executive leadership.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the education sector.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to educational executives, board members, district administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Attend educational conferences and events to build relationships and sales opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed annual new sales quota.

Requirements

  • Strong comprehensive knowledge of school funding systems
  • Ability to manage a complex sale to multiple stakeholders
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales, as an individual contributor
  • Solid knowledge of education administration practices, special education/related services, and K-12 procurement practices
  • Proficient in sales methodologies, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sales analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and develop innovative sales strategies
  • Ability to manage all facets of a sales pipeline without losing focus
  • Must reside in WA, OR, ID

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, marketing, sales, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales as an individual contributor with knowledge of education administration practices, special education/related services, and K-12 procurement practices.

Nice to Have

  • In-depth knowledge of existing points of contact in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana
