Lead and drive all business development and marketing activities within an assigned market to increase hospice revenue, patient census, and growth strategies for Moments Hospice. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with referral sources, and managing business development teams.
Responsibilities
- Direct all Business Development and Marketing activities in Assigned Region, including developing and implementing programs focused on growing hospice revenue, patient census, and partnering opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans under the Regional Director of Business Development (RDBD).
- Contribute to developing overall marketing plans and budgets, and manage their implementation.
- Develop and implement plans for vacancy coverage of sales territories.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop business development activities aligned with operational and clinical goals.
- Track and analyze market and performance trends of Business Development Teams to identify opportunities and improve weaknesses.
- Maintain all sales and marketing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Foster internal relationships between Business Development, Clinical, and Operational teams to enhance teamwork and generate referral relationships.
- Identify and build effective centers of influence, networking with various healthcare facilities, physicians, and community organizations to maximize revenue.
- Create and implement mechanisms for reporting sales strategy and progress to the leadership team.
- Promote relationship building, sales, and marketing efforts through public speaking engagements.
- Represent the organization in targeted local and state professional organizations, conferences, trade shows, and other activities.
- Oversee assigned Business Development teams, providing support, training, and technical assistance to Hospice Care Consultants.
- Manage the training process for business development teams, including Hospice Care Consultants, Liaisons, Managers, and/or Directors.
- Direct and coach Business Development team members throughout the assigned market to meet or exceed their sales goals, activity, conversion, admission, and sales growth goals.
- Create training programs and teach a repeatable, successful sales process to all Business Development Teams, including needs-based selling techniques and handling objections.
- Direct and oversee the regional and local teams to consistently use the customer relationship and marketing information system (CRM) to document, develop, and maximize use of the database.
- Contribute to the development of annual sales plan forecasting and overall business plans of the assigned region.
