This role will develop and execute Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategies to support the value proposition of Rare Disease products within a complex biopharma environment. The incumbent will work within market access, medical affairs, and commercial teams, both globally and in the US, to generate robust evidence for Sanofi's transformative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategy and tactics for Rare Disease products
- Design and execute HEOR research including economic modeling, database analysis, observational research, and literature reviews
- Set HEOR evidence generation priorities and plans for assigned Rare Disease indications
- Operate as part of a multi-functional global Brand team, designing clinical research programs
- Develop collaborative research relationships with payers to inform value to decision makers
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing input to commercial, medical, and market access teams
- Demonstrate effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills working independently with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline
- 5+ years of combined experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience applying various HEOR methods to specific research projects
- Proficiency in principles of evidence-based medicine and clinical research methodology, economic modeling, and COAs
- Ability to understand, create, and apply relevant methods (e.g., observational data, post hoc analysis of clinical trials, meta-analysis, indirect comparison) to demonstrate product value potential
- US product launch experience and understanding of US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration
- Experience translating Target Value Propositions and access strategies into evidence hypotheses and generation plans
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry and compliance considerations
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field

- Supported global launches
- Provided recommendations to clinical development programs for payer value demonstration
- Publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Knowledge of global HTA processes and guidelines
- Experience with HTA submissions
- Knowledge of US payers and guidelines
- Experience with US submissions
- Demonstrated understanding of disease physiopathology, drug mechanism of action, clinical development principles, epidemiology, biostatistics, statistical programming COA development, systemic literature reviews, and network meta-analyses
