As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate care to clients, assisting with personal care tasks, fostering positive relationships, ensuring safety, and encouraging self-help activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
- Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
- Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment
- Encourage self-help activities
- Accompany clients to scheduled appointments
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external
