About This Role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) empowers individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) by assisting them with daily living tasks and helping them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

Provide care in the individual's home and community
Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning
Assist with personal care such as bathing and dressing
Provide employment support
Transport clients to appointments and run errands
Help plan and organize client schedules
Perform daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Basic housekeeping knowledge
Basic nutrition knowledge
Safety protocols knowledge
Interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Dependability
Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy to learn
Reliable transportation and current auto insurance

Qualifications

A High school diploma or GED is required
Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided
