About This Role

As a Residential Support Professional, you will empower, inspire, and support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve greater independence, serving as a mentor and advocate. This role is crucial for transforming lives by providing personalized coaching, engaging in beneficial activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Guide individuals toward greater independence and personal growth
  • Serve as a positive role model and trusted mentor
  • Provide personalized coaching and support tailored to each person's unique goals
  • Create meaningful experiences through community outings and beneficial activities
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and social events
  • Help prepare nutritious meals and maintain a comfortable home environment
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of those in your care
  • Assist with personal care needs with dignity and respect
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies when needed
  • Maintain accurate records to track progress and celebrate achievements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • Ability to complete Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to complete Fingerprint-based federal criminal history
  • Ability to complete Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion verification

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience needed, comprehensive training provided.
