Provide direct daily support and care to adults with cognitive and mental health disabilities in a residential group home setting. Empower individuals to live independently and engage in community integration.
Responsibilities
- Seek out opportunities for community/social integration
- Help consumers plan and prepare their choices of fun events and outings
- Assist with self care, including dressing, bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, and shaving
- Administer medication
- Prepare and plan meals
- Transport consumers
- Follow individual service plans
Requirements
- 18 years of age
- Acceptable Background Character Verification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
- Communicate basic English
- Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
Qualifications
- No experience necessary, paid training provided
